The Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support (P-FCCS) program will introduce principles important in the initial care of critically ill or injured pediatric patient to physicians, nurses and other health care providers who are not skilled in pediatric critical care but who must care for such a patient in anticipation of the arrival of a pediatric intensivist or pending transfer of the patient to a more suitable facility. It provides exposure in both didactic and hands-on clinical skills (using a small group format and simulation).
